Chronic anxiety can be exhausting—affecting energy, focus, sleep, and overall quality of life. NAD+ Therapy at Hydrate Medical offers a provider-guided approach to supporting your body’s natural neurochemical balance and stress response.
We provide NAD+ infusions and subcutaneous (subQ) injections under medical supervision as adjunctive care for individuals managing anxiety—not as a replacement for mental health treatment, but as supportive therapy for cellular and metabolic health.
Important: NAD+ therapy is not a treatment for diagnosed anxiety disorders and should not replace care from a mental health professional. If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 for immediate support.
NAD+ plays a critical role in cellular energy production, mitochondrial function, and neurotransmitter synthesis—all of which influence mood regulation and stress response. Research suggests that NAD+ depletion may be associated with symptoms of anxiety, particularly in conditions involving chronic fatigue and stress.
A study published by Alegre et al. (2010) examined oral NADH supplementation in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome in a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. The study found that NADH administration was associated with a statistically significant decrease in anxiety scores (p<0.05) compared to placebo. While the study population had chronic fatigue syndrome, the anxiety reduction findings suggest potential relevance for individuals experiencing anxiety symptoms.
Additionally, a 2024 systematic review published in the American Journal of Physiology examining randomized clinical trials found that NADH and NAD+ precursor supplementation was well-tolerated and associated with decreased anxiety conditions and improvements in quality of life parameters.
Important Context: Most clinical research on NAD+ and anxiety has been conducted in populations with chronic fatigue syndrome or as secondary outcomes in other studies. Direct, large-scale clinical trials specifically examining NAD+ therapy for primary anxiety disorders are limited. While preliminary evidence is encouraging, more research is needed to fully understand NAD+’s role in anxiety management.

Potential Side Effects:
While generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience nausea, flushing, headache, or temporary increase in anxiety during infusion (often managed by adjusting infusion rate).
NAD+ therapy is not a cure for anxiety disorders. Anxiety is a complex condition influenced by neurochemistry, life circumstances, trauma, genetics, and numerous other factors.
We provide metabolic and cellular support. We do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Coordination with your existing mental health providers is strongly encouraged and, with your consent, we can communicate with your care team to ensure safe, integrated treatment.
If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. NAD+ therapy is not a crisis intervention.
